Welcome to the Art Education Hub, where creativity meets education!
With over 20 years of experience teaching art across a variety of settings, I’m here to support schools, teachers, and students in exploring the transformative power of art. After completing my degree in Art & Design at St Martin's College, Lancaster, I’ve dedicated my career to working in pre-school, primary, secondary, and SEN educational environments. My passion lies in making art accessible, engaging, and rewarding for learners of all ages and abilities.

Teacher Training Sessions
I was given a fairly unique opportunity to teach as an Art Specialist within Primary Schools in around 2018 after working solely in Secondary Schools prior to that. What became apparent very quickly was that many Primary Teachers did not feel confident in delivering engaging art lessons with practical, hands-on elements. Worried that they didn’t have the skills, couldn’t manage the mess or the materials, many had turned to online ‘draw along’ sessions to fulfil the art curriculum. I spent the first year of my time within Primary working with teachers and classes to build confidence in delivering an interesting, creative approach to art within schools. I provide practical sessions for Primary teachers, offering guidance on art techniques, resource/material management, and creative curriculum development. These workshops are designed to build confidence and inspire teachers to bring art into their classrooms.

Community Group and In-School Art Workshops
Let me bring the creativity directly to your students! I offer engaging, curriculum-aligned art workshops that cater to various age groups and abilities. These workshops are perfect for enhancing your school’s art program, celebrating special events, or providing a unique learning experience for students.
I can work with classes or groups of pupils to investigate and create displays on an individual topic.
Work with pupil groups from over the whole school to explore a topic such as their school values and how they might creatively display these for all pupils and parents to see.
Create scenery for end of term shows (this can be offered with or without pupil involvement.)
Work on developing use of a media or technique that pupils might not have experienced before such as printmaking, group painting, drawing on a large scale, 3D modelling …

1:1 Art Lessons
Pupils may desire 1:1 tutoring for a variety of reasons.
I have worked with home educated children, non school attenders, neurodiverse pupils, children who are passionate about art and just want to learn as much as possible as well as students preparing for National 5 and Higher Art qualifications.
I offer specialised tutoring to help pupils on whatever specific art journey they are on, my goal is to help students gain the benefits of practicing art on their health and wellbeing, showcase their artistic potential and achieve their best results.
